Pre-Made Characters
Pre-Made Characters can be useful if you don't know what to play, or just want to get to the game faster. Each character has a brief write up of a personality as well. A character should have a personality, but you can choose to make your own instead or simply play as yourself.
Barbarian
Kronagg the Ork Barbarian deals massive damage with their axe with melee AoEs, parries attacks, and heals back lost HP, as well as excelling at any physical task. Uses a Greatbow at range.
Personality (Optional)
Kronagg drifts towards violence to solve all problems, considering other solutions second. Kronagg isn't stupid, but is decidedly ignorant as education wasn't considered important to their life as a hunter and warrior to their tribe; they are no shaman or diplomat. Kronagg is willing to listen to new ideas and different solutions, but doesn't listen to anyone who insults them or their allies.
Rogue
Mauve the Moon Elf Rogue deals very high damage against a single target while remaining unseen or while flanking with an ally, and does so with a sabre and daggers, or a crossbow, and can create illusions to deceive others.
Personality (Optional)
Mauve drifts towards subterfuge and elaborate schemes to solve all problems, rarely considering direct solutions, and therefore sometimes being thwarted by simple tasks. Mauve isn't malicious or manipulative, but rather doesn't consider their own abilities because of a deep seated lack of confidence. Often Mauve will get people to complete a task for them such as by convincing the person of a plan Mauve thought of by making the person think it was their own plan, reinforcing Mauve's lack of confidence because the person acted out the plan, not Mauve.
Knight
Alexein the Dragoon Knight protects themselves and others with their sword, shield, and dueling pistol, and is incredibly durable.
Personality (Optional)
Alexin is protective to a fault, always careful to not put others in danger, but not giving themselves a second thought. Alexein sometimes hesitates due to overthinking their Oath that every knight in their order must undertake. Gain the skill Oath of Chivalry.
Name | Skill Tags | Skill Point Cost | Mana Cost | Prerequisites | Action Cost | Effect |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Oath of Chivalry | Oath | 0 | N/A | N/A | Passive | You must do all of the following, even if it would lose you your life. If you fail to do so, lose this Skill, and all skills which list this Skill as a Prerequisite. 1. Protect those weaker that yourself. 2. Never tell a lie, even one of omission. 3. Be generous, and give all the gifts that you can. 4. Everywhere, and at all times be a champion of the Right and the Good against Injustice and Evil. 5. You must accept any challenge addressed to you by a challenger(s) of similar power to your own (to the best of your understanding), so long as acceptance of the challenge is possible. This is to say any challenge of one on one combat against a worthy opponent, or any number on any number combat between two groups of roughly similar power (to the best of your estimation) (even if this makes the battle 1 vs 100), but not if you are challenged to do something you are incapable of such as a beam duel when you cannot activate Arcane Beam, or a pistol duel when you have no pistol and/or ammunition. If your opponent(s) breaks the terms of the duel, clearly has no intention of honoring the duel, or is in some way trying to take advantage of your chivalry (such as demanding a one on one duel amidst a battlefield) you have no obligation to honor the duel. |
Cleric
Jordan the Dwarf Cleric heals themselves and others with divine magic, can sense the emotions of others, craft weapons, or magically craft items from stone, is innately durable, and wields a maul, a tower shield, and throwing axes.
Personality (Optional)
Jordan is generous and thoughtful, always willing to share a drink and an ear. Though they sometimes ask one too many questions to make sure someone is actually okay, Jordan is always respectful of boundaries and the choices of others, unless that choice harms a bystander. Jordan's concern and empathy is in some ways rooted in having seen too many people who couldn't be saved.
Wizard
Shale the Ifrit Wizard deals fire damage in a large area, can self immolate for more damage, and has many utility abilities such as creating light without a torch, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of humanoids, and being resistant or immune to heat, cold, and disease. More complex with more options than other Pre-Made Characters.
Personality (Optional)
Shale knows enough to the point where they really aught to try solutions besides fire to solve problems, but will still sometimes resort to burning things instead of other better solutions because the other better solution was not as interesting. Shale lives for reactions; Shale wants to be the center of attention, and wants everyone to think that they are intelligent and powerful.
Dragon
Pyrentus the Dragon rends foes with powerful claws and fangs, and breathes fire in flight on foes below, and can eat fire for sustenance.
Personality (Optional)
Pyrentus has left their volcanic home in hopes of becoming something more than their family's next great heir. Pyrentus is angered by the notions that their family proposes, that individual merit doesn't matter, and that someone can be complete from inherited legacy alone. Pyrentus is on a quest to discover what true power is, then attain it, whether it be physical or philosophical. Pyrentus has decided that they will not be another thoughtless and weak ruler.
Mysterious Creature
Frog the Mysterious Creature is not really frog, and is meant to be used alongside the Mysterious Creatures and Mysterious Dungeons Alternate Rule System. Frog uses Moves which cost PP instead of using Skills which cost Mana. Moves are simple and powerful, but lack the flexibility of having piles of Skills, and you can only know four Moves.
Personality (Optional)
Frog takes contented satisfaction from watching the world and its creatures move. Frog has a certain serenity about them, believing there are no bad things in life, only challenges, and challenges are to be faced calmly. Something which has caused many challenges in Frog's life is their docile nature making them easygoing, but also inherently without a go-to when it comes to problem solving. This has built up a reliance on others, which in turn has built up a desire to protect others.
